6maxNL Tourney 12th/902 Hand-by-Hand Pt. 2

This looks like a good flop to c-bet, but I got the feeling that Pitchek67 was really strong and was hoping for me to do it. Maybe a set or , something like that.

I was positive I had the best hand here, so I raised to $4,440 on the turn to look suspicious. Didn’t work. No idea what he had. — Just before this hand I 3bet howlinwolf’s $1,200 raise to $5400 with and took it down.

Another one of these stupid small bet steal attempts — is it written in a poker book somewhere that it’s a good idea to do that or what? That is a seriously crap spot to bluff.

Standard tourney ending for this dude. Good job it held up for me. Then right after this one, I took the blinds raising with .

Biggest pot so far here and a nice jump up for me. Cocobert70 from France wasn’t happy. Even though I was a favourite and he had just played his Jacks like a complete spas, it didn’t stop him from telling me he wanted to “do a punch in my face”…

New table. Lots of boring folding and blinded all the way down to here. This one was a close decision and I was kinda lucky to get away with it, but this dude had clearly lost it. He was shoving and raising way too often so I had to call. Wasn’t happy about it until he turned over the . Had a couple of raise and take it hands with and before this one too. Then after this hand, I raised with from the SB to steal the BB and antes.

Another crazy dude joined the table to my right, throwing chips all over the place. I was lucky enough to get a legit hand to play against him with while he was still alive. — Then after this one I had another raise and take it with too.

Tough decision for me here… This guy was Power Tilting because the guy behind me who eventually won the whole fucking thing and the $3,988 first prize had just shoved into his and won with trip 4’s. Joker. Pretty safe flop against 5’s for me in this hand though.

I threw away $15,000 on raising from the SB some time after this hand. Indef shoved over the top of me and I folded.

I think it was the hand from before that sent me off my game. I knew I shouldn’t have raised it then and I knew I shouldn’t have called here. But I did it anyway. I play bad.

I followed that last hand with 3 raises to take the blinds and antes. 3xBB with , 4xBB with , and 4xBB with .

Also, with the blinds at $4,000/$8,000 I got on the button. New player, stryke75 raised to $20k and I 3bet to $62,000 — not quite all in so that I look as strong as possible. I wanted a fold, not a flip and I got it.

Then only a few hands later I got in the SB. New player, itchycoo had just joined and mini-raised to $16,000 from UTG and I was feeling it so I re-raised again, this time to $58,000 and got another fold.

Mr stryke75 must still have been burning from the last time I re-raised him and he didn’t want to fold, so he went crazy with . I may have helped him along by making a stupid bet $1 short of an all-in..

2 more hands happened before I blew up and died. With I button raised to $30,000 and indeFATPRICK shoved from the small blind. So I folded. Then I had a simple raise and take it with before this hand…

The most annoying thing is that I called because I knew he was shoving weak. I wasn’t rage calling at all. Anyways, that’s a tourney. Back to the cash games for a while so I can let loose a bit more. Being that patient takes a lot out of me…
