Step 1: Clear Cookies
Because Betfair needs to know where you’re signing up from, it’s important that you delete any old cookies that may have been placed on your computer when you visited the Betfair homepage or clicked on a link from somewhere else.

Step 3: Create a Betfair Poker Account
When the download is finished and you’ve installed Betfair, click on “Create Account” from the main menu on the left hand side of the lobby. Then on the Betfair Poker website, follow the on-screen instructions.

Betfair’s 40% rakeback deal

It’s very simple. If you rake less than £1,499 in a given month, you’ll receive 30% rakeback. But if you play a shitload of hands because Betfair is your regular poker room and you generate any more than £1,499 of rake, you will receive 40% rakeback.

Rakeback at Betfair is paid out twice monthly, but the example below shows how your rakeback percentage is ultimately calculated over the whole month:

How will my rakeback be calculated?
Overall rakeback rates are determined by overall rake measured on a monthly basis. However, ‘mid-month’ rakeback payments may be made at the ‘base rate’ - i.e. 30%.

Example:
A player rakes £1,000 in the first 2 weeks of February (before the mid-month payment) and is therefore due 30% rakeback.

Mid-month rakeback payment:
Although he’s likely to rake > £1,500 in the month, he will receive 30% rakeback on his month’s activity so far - £300 (i.e. £1,000*30%).

Month end rakeback payment:
He then goes on to rake another £1,000 in the rest of February, meaning he has raked a total of £2,000 and is therefore due 40% rakeback.

He’ll therefore receive 40% on his £1,000 = £400, plus a further 10% on the initial £1,000 = £100, totaling £500.

The total rakeback paid by Betfair to the player is therefore £800.

Betfair’s $600 sign-up bonus

This isn’t a match bonus — even if you only deposit $20 into your Betfair account, you are still entitled to a $600 bonus. But of course, like all the other bonuses out there, it has to be earned by playing raked hands at real money tables and tourneys.
